Mitchell Johnson suffers nasty head injury during gym training
 
(Sydney, Mar 13, 2018):Former Australian quick Mitchell Johnson reportedly injured himself during a gym exercise and had to then undergo the painful process of stitches.

Johnson had retired from international cricket in 2015, 10 years after making his ODI debut for Australia on December 10, 2015.

The fast bowler took to Instagram to share a series of pictures, where he showed his head injury which was then stitched and ended the post with his smiling picture.

Johnson said in his post, "If you don't like blood & cuts then don't look through these pics! Not the best thing I've ever done to myself but I'm am fine #toohardtoexplain #dontfightchinupbar #stilldontknowhowitspossible #18.3grrrrr #baldspot"

According to dailymail.co.uk, Johnson suffered the injury after colliding with a chin-up bar in the gym. He required 16 stitches in his scalp which left him with a 'bald spot'.

Johnson was picked by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for his base price of Rs 2 crore in the IPL Players' Auction 2018 for the upcoming season. He previously played in the tournament for Mumbai Indians (MI).

Johnson has scalped a total of 239 wickets in 153 ODIs he has played for Australia, including three five-wicket hauls. On the other hand, he has played 73 Test for Australia and picked 313 wickets, including 12 five-wicket hauls and three 10-wicket hauls.

Johnson is also the quickest bowler to reach 150 wickets in Test cricket with two years and 139 days since the time of his debut.

Johnson last played for Australia against New Zealand on Novemver 17, 2015 while his last ODI for Australia was on March 29, 2015 vs New Zealand.

Johnson also played for Perth Scorchers in the Big Bash League 2018 but managed to take only one wicket in the seven matches that he played.
