KMAT Kerala Scheduled for June 24, Apply Before June 7
 
(Mar 17, 2018): The official notification for the second Kerala Aptitude Management Test (KMAT) for admission to MBA courses for 2018-2019 has been released. It is supervised by the Admission Supervisory Committee, Kerala along with the University of Kerala. Candidates can apply for the same at https://kmatkerala.in.

KMAT is the entrance examination for candidates interested to pursue MBA /PGDM program under the various management institutes and universities in Kerala. It is conducted twice in the months of February and June and the candidates who sit for it in February can re-appear for the in June to improve their score.

Students with a valid CAT or CMAT score are not required to sit for this examination. They can get admission directly. Candidates qualifying KMAT will be allowed to appear for GD/PI conducted by various institutes.

KMAT is scheduled to be conducted on June 24th, 2018 from 10 am to 12.30 pm. The exam venues are spread across Kerala and other cities including Bengaluru, Chennai, Coimbatore and Mangalore. It has been decided that if the number of candidates applying for a particular center is less than 100, the candidates from that center will be shifted to another center in close proximity.

Eligibility for KMAT

To be eligible to apply for KMAT, the candidate must be a graduate or at least in the final year/semester of their Bachelor’s Degree. Other eligibility criteria are that,

1)Applicants should be Indian nationals.

2)Applicants should be residents of Kerala.

3)Candidates who have completed their graduation should have at least 50% marks (for general candidates) and 40% marks (for reserved category candidates).

Application Fee

The application fee for general candidates is INR 1000/- and INR 750 for SC/ST candidates. Applicants can pay online through SBIepay or through debit card/credit card/net banking from any bank. The KMAT application fee is non-refundable and candidates must keep a copy after online payment.

Application Procedure, Admit Card and Result

Candidates can apply for KMAT 2018 online at https://kmatkerala.in/june2018/home. The last date to submit forms is June 7th 2018, until 5 pm. Candidates can find more details regarding form submission and fee payment at https://kmatkerala.in/june2018/resources/pdfs/Instructions.pdf.

Link for downloading the Hall Tickets will be active from June 14 to June 24, 2018 at the official website. Candidates must carry their admit cards along with an ID proof on the day of the examination.

Candidates will be able to check the Answer Keys for the examination on June 24th, 5 pm onwards. They can raise objections if any regarding the answer key. The last date to register the same with the ASC is 26th June, until 5 pm. The final answer key after clearing all objections will be released by June 28th, 2018.

Final result and list of qualified candidates will be declared on June 30th, 2018. KMAT scorecard will be issued on July 3rd and will be available till the last date of admission. Candidates will be selected for admission in various institutes on the basis of their scores and ranks.

Examination Details

KMAT will be an offline examination. There will be 180 MCQ questions and 4 marks will be awarded for each correct answer. As declared on the official website, there will be a negative marking of 1 mark for each incorrect answer. It has also been notified that the minimum cut off mark for selection will be 108 for general candidates, 72 for SEBC and 54 for SC/ST candidates. The medium of the examination will be English.
