Malayalam actor Ajith passes away
 
(Kollam, Apr 5, 2018, DG): Malayalam actor Kollam Ajith (56) passed away on Thursday.

He breathed his last while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Kochi.

Ajith was under treatment for stomach related diseases. He entered Malayalam movies in the 90s and was noted for portraying negative roles.

'Parannu parannu parannu', directed by Padmarajan, marked his entry in 1989. Later, he acted in Doordarshan's popular serial 'Kairali Vilasam Lodge'.

He made a mark in mini-screen through serials like Vajram, Swami Ayyappan and Kadamattathu Kathanaar.

He directed a movie titled 'Calling Bell'. He is married to Prameela. The couple has two children, Sreekkutty and Sreehari.
